ARTS DAY – TOMORROW – APRIL 14TH
We are proud to support the ArtsDayLA 2015 event. Arts for LA is an arts service organization dedicated to fostering a healthy environment in which arts and culture may thrive and be accessible to all. Artivist Entertainment co-founder Aloe Blacc will be one of the distinguished speakers for Arts & Culture together with Poet Laureate Luis J. Rodriguez, and Boeing Executive James W. Schultz. The speakers will address assembled advocates and the members of City Council to share their support of art and culture in the city. All 15 City Council offices will participate.
There will be two student performances by spoken word group Get Lit Players, and by the Vocal Jazz Ensemble from Ramon C. Cortines High School of Visual & Performing Arts.

PEACE OVER VIOLENCE – DENIM DAY – APRIL 29TH
Artivist Entertainment Co-Founders Aloe Blacc and Maya Jupiter have teamed up with Peace Over Violence and the Guess Foundation once again. They are Denim Day 2015 official spokespeople, and they’ve created a brand new PSA, featuring the newly launched hashtag campaign, #GearUp4DenimDay.

QUETZAL
NEW VIDEO
Quetzal teamed up with the East L.A. Community Corporation and filmmaker Akira Boch to create a new music video for “Coyote Hustle” from the Quetzanimales album that will highlight the Boyle Heights community street vendors.
You can get more information about “Coyote Hustle” on the band’s website quetzanimales.com. The website features mini-documentaries dedicated to the songs on the Quetzanimales album designed by filmmakers Scott Macklin and Angelica Salome.
